Local Nats support Bolger's performance
Local National Party branch chairman Alastair McGregor told the annual general meeting that people he talks to are in broad agreement with most measures the Bolger govemment has implemented since it took office. "We like the realistic thrust of the labour market reforms, the social welfare reforms. The idea we must all live within our means," said Mr McGregor in his speech to the branch and to Mr Bolger, who was present at the Saturday 6 April meeting. The meeting, also attended by Mrs Bolger, was preceded by a constituent's session. Attendance at the meeting was good according to new branch secretary Irene Whale, who has replaced Jennifer God-
