Waimarino golf start

Greensome foursomes was the order of the day for the opening of the winter season on Sunday. The scoring was excellent with results: S. Gray and F. Wise lOup; M. Kennedy and G. Imhoff 8up; C. Heinold and K. Tapp 8up. Four ball competition: N. Clarke and T. Oliver 9up; D. Williams and J. Summerhays 8up. Two's were scored by K. Herewini, P. Chambers, C. Allerby, B. Dempsey, J. Summerhays. Thursday 14 March saw the end of the successfull twilight golf. Three teams tied for lst prize and the resulting playoff saw D. Windle, S. Dowman, and G. Pepere take out top

honours. The Summer Eclectic was won by A. Berridge; Senior; and J. Renata, Junior. The prize was donated by Waimarino Electrical. Saturdays lst round of the President's Trophy saw Waimarino take out a 6 - 2 win over

Flawkestone, however the club was not quite so successfull on Sunday in their Annual Interclub match with Turangi with the host club winning by 33 stableford points average to Waimarino 30 points.
