Quick pictures arrives

High speed film processing and printing has come to the Waimarino with Alpine Photos opening in Clyde Street Ohakune this week. Andrew Self, a New Zealand Couriers operator and keen amateur photographer, has set up the business having

decided there is a need for it in the area. This view is supported by the number of people that have already dropped films in to be processed. "i'm amazed at the response," said Andrew. "There's been 15 a day while we've been setting

up the shop." His assistant Debbie Summerhays, who will take charge of the processing system has been interested in photography since her college days when she studied photography as part of her art course. Supporting them in

the early stages is processing equipment technician Gladys Quintal, who is an expert in the business. She is the trouble-shooter for the Palmerston North onehour labs, and will provide back up technical support for the Ohakune shop.
