Horses on grass verges banned
Riding of horses on grass ve . ges and grassed areas, as well as footpaths, inside town boundaries is to be outlawed. The Waimarino Community Board recommended to the council that a bylaw be passed as soon as possible banning the activity. The board heard that horses being ridden on verges were causing much damage, especially in Raetihi. Riding horses on footpaths was also a problem although this was already illegal.
