Bridge

The Ohakune Bridge club held their annual general meeting on Wednesday 27 February. An election of officers was held with the following persons elected; President- Brian Eades, Secretary/Treasurer - John Eades, Director - Ron Martin, Scorer - Bob Tumataroa, Ordinary committee members - Tracy Ennis and Rita Kaiwhare. The need for new members was .stressed during the meeting and anyone who is interested in learning to play, or anyone who can play and who would like to join our club is asked to contact one of the following; Brian Eades Ph 58-119, Ron Martin Ph 58 531 or Ron Frew Ph 58 375. At the conclusion of the meeting twenty one boards were played in a Howell movement, with the following results; 1st Ron Frew and Brian Jiades 6.4.29%, and Pauline Le Noel and Lauretta Eades 47.61%, 3rd Ron Martin and Heather Cranston 46.43%, 4th Rita Kaiwhare and Betty Hammond 45.24%
