Town clerk dies

A memorial service was held at the Bethel Chapel in Raetihi on Saturday for Mrs Edith Moore, past Ohakune Borough Council town clerk, who died on Thursday after a long illness. Mrs Moore was one of the senior staff of the new Ruapehu District Council. A funeral service for Mrs Moore was to be held in her home town of Gisborne yesterday. Mrs Moore is survived by her husband Graeme, daughters Deborah and Jacqueline, son Marcus as well as her father Edgar White of Gisborne.
