Power boards to meet
Board members of Midwestern (the Wan-ganui-Rangitikei Electric Power Board) are being invited to a meeting with their King Country electric Power Board counterparts in Taumarunui next month. This follows informal discussions between the chairmen and senior executives of both boards earlier this month. KCEPB chairman Ken Street said Midwestern were keen to discuss the rationalization of borders in the Waimarino. The KCEPB board believes Midwestern may be inlerested in becoming an equity partner in the proposed Karioi hydro scheme.
