Education overload

• Have you taken time out to read what the workload of the Education Review Office, which appeared si-

multaneously with the disappearance of the Inspectorate of the former Department of Education, actually is? Read the yellow book, Tomorrows Schools, pages 20-22. If the personnel were robots instead of human beings, their over load switches would blow! I get the feeling their main function will be to check what is going in and out of each school's piggy-bank rather than the more important monitoring of the quality of teaching in the classroom and that is where true equity for each child lies.
