A&P Show plans grow

Waimarino's Agricultural and Pastoral Show is coming up, on Saturday and Sunday 16 & 17 February. The show again incorporates the annual Waimarino Shears plus this year a fun run from Makaranui on the Saturday morning and horizontal bungy jumping, among other activities. Spot prizes will be available for fun runners and all ages "and sizes" are welcome, said Show organiser Bernice Frost. The run is between eight and nine kilomctres. Stalls are always an important part of the Show and Mrs Frost urges people who want to set up a stall to phone her at Waimarino Livestock to book their space. There is a small fee for commercial stall holders and community groups' stalls are normally free. Mrs Frost has details of who qualifies.
