Pipiriki kaumatua

Pipiriki kaumatua Tanewhaorangi Jack Gray, of Ngati Uenuku and Ngati Kurawhatia and an executive member of the Pipiriki Incorporation, has died. Mr Gray died on Thursday 3 January. A service was held for Mr Gray at Paraweka Marae at Pipiriki on Monday 7 January. He was a long-serving member of the Incorporation, chairman of

ihe Raetihi Marae Trustees and the Paraweka Marae committee and was heavily involved with tribal issues, representing Whanganui River Tribes on many very important matters especially National Maori Congress meetings. The annual meeting of the Pipiriki Incorporation, which was to be held on 5 January has been postponed until Fcbruary or latcr.
