Truck blown off road
A furniturc truck was blown off the Dcscrt Road when wind gusts reached 70 knots on Monday 7 January. The truck, which was blown into the water table about six kilomctres north of Waiouru, was righted with the help of the Army's recovery service. The driver of the truck was unhurt.
