Lions celebrate 25 years service

A quarter century of 'Lionism' in the Waimarino was celebrated in style by 120 Ruapehu Lions, their families, and special guests at the weekend. A guest speaker at Saturdays function Past International Lloyd Morgan, conveyed a strong message to all, asking that the future of Lions and 'Lionism' be safeguarded. "Think about the future. A well attended remembrance service was held in Ohakune on Sunday, where a flower was placed on each of the 23 crosses representing those deceased members of the Ruapehu Lions Club, now on the Roll of Honour.
