Makatote claims New Zealand's tallest man

New Zealand's tallest man, Patrick Micael Hogan, 34 of Wanganui, died in a car crash unde the Makatote Viaduct at 8.40am last Thursday. He was driving his Holden north when the vehicle slid on ice into a truck. He was among the 10 tallest people in the world at well over seven feet. Mr Hogan worked for a time several years ago in the Ohakune Hotel.
