The inter-business squash competition has now come to an end after six weeks of some fun squash. Results from division one: Images 38, Winstones 33, Country Bumpkins 20, Affiliators 19. Finals: (Images names first): Stu Fowlie beat Paul Winter 3-0; Ross Gillett beat Mai Cotter 3-2; Marty McGrath beat Murray Steels 3-1. Division Two: Toyota 4 - Runners 4 8 , Untouchables 43; Himobiles 36, Young and the Useless 25; Peaches and Greens 24, T Time 21. Finals (Toyota 4Runners names first): Terry Tapp beat Robert Brown 3-2; Lesley Todd lost to Darren McDonnell 2-3; Craig Wiggins beat Andrew Condon 30. Division Three: Kune Carrots 48, Rebels 43; Fire Fighters 36, Winpulp 26; Trustbank and Two Up Two Down both had 23 each. Finals (Rebels names first): Hugh Donald lost to Warren Swain 2-3; Kate Siddells beat Frank Taylor 3-0; Daniel Siddells beat Nathan Swain 3-0; Marg Waara lost to Ainsley Swain 0-3.

Division Four: Mermaids 40, Golden Girls 39; College 23, Utaroas 16, Kool Kids 13. Finals (Golden Girls names first): Helen Fahey lost to Mary Grave 2-3; J Fahey beat Pearl Brown 3-0; Enid Windle beat Lynn Brown 3-0; Michelle Bright beat Shelley Hamilton 3-1. A prize giving for the inter-business competition will be held on 9 June which will be combined with the internal tournament which will be held on 8 and 9 June. This prize giving will follow a pot-luck tea. All captains will be informed at a later date, so keep this weekend free for squash. Entry forms are available from the Squash Club. Another social evening to be held Monday 22 June is Raetihi versus Ohakune, open to all. Ohakune names can be left with Warren Swain at Ohakune Tyres and Raetihi names on the notice board at the Squash Club or with Lesley or Marty. The Security and General Trophy is also coming up against T aumarunui and T aihape.
