Pony year ends
The Raetihi Pony Club ended a very successful season on Sunday having competed in several rallies with riders ranging from 5-17 years.
Four riders from the club attended the North Island teams event in Tokoroa and one rider to the New Zealand teams championships in Palmerston North. Unfortunately the weather was not on their side for the breakup which meant it was unmounted at the Presbyterian Church Hall. All sorts of games
kept the children occupied with even an inside dressage display by two of the youngest members on their pony "Mac." Prizes were as follows: Junior attendanceMcLean Cup, Nicola Smith. Intermediate at-tendance-Vet Club Cup: Sally Williams/Marni McGregor. Senior attendance: Sharon Wagstaff/Cindy Langdon. Junior Groom turnout-Williams Trophy: Cameron Morris. Intermediate Groom turnout-McGill Cup: Sally Williams. Senior groom turnout-Kui Griffin Cup: Cindy Langdon. Junior Most im-proved-McGregor Cup: Cushla Edgarten. Run-ner-up Briar McGregor. Intermediate Most im-proved-McGill Cup: Kirsty Mcllroy. Runnerup Kelly Godfrey. Senior Most im-proved-Bowater Cup: Cindy Langdon. Run-ner-up Donovan Morris. Tiny Tot most improved: Michell Fredricksen. Most Conscientious riderWaipuna Ridge Cup: Cindy Langdon. D Certificates: Toni Attwood, Janine Maru. C Certificates: Trudi Allerby, Emma Cornwall, Vicky Pearson. Sir William Special Award: Marie AUerby for five years of being a super secretary and now retiring.
