Jubilee plans for tennis club
The Raetihi Tennis Club held their club combined championships on Saturday 3 March with club members turning out in force to compete. Play started at Ilam and the finals were completed by 6.30pm. Several Raetihi school pupils sold toasted sandwiches, along with raffle tickets, with the funds going to their school trip. Members were very appreciative of the goods supplied and were very happy to help contribute funds for the school trip. The club has decided to hold their 70th Jubilee in conjunction with opening day sometime in October this year and members and residents in the area are asked to pass this on to anyone whom they know has been connected with the tennis club in the past. Extensive advertisirig will be done later in the year in an effort to col-
lect names and addresses of past members and supporters. Results from the Combined Championships from 16 entries are : Final Main Championship, Sally Cotter and Aaron McCann,
