Water file still missing

Rumours that the council's Ohakune water treatment system file was maliciously destroyed by a former employee are quite false, said Ruapehu mayor Garrick Work-

man on Friday. He said there is still no sign of the files, despite council officers having searched through the Taumarunui council offices. Mayor Workman said

he was told the files definitely came back into the hands of the area manager, Don Sattler, from the former employee. He said it is

since that time that the file has gone missing. It is not crucial that the file be found for technical services officers to be able to pre-

pare their repon on the project, said Mayor Workman, but that some material in the file would be very helpful.
