VOLCANO DISPLAY IMPRESSES VISITORS
The Whakapapa visitor centre's new display is proving popular with tourists, with the audiovisual display of the vulcanism of the Tongariro National Park drawing the biggest reaction. The volcanic display has been playing up to 15 times a day. Up to 1000 people a day had called in to the centre during the busy summer period.
