School in the dark

The children are now all back at school with their pencils and packed lunches. Many parents didn't know when to send them off to primary school because no-one seemed to know just when school started. Ruapehu College advertised quite plainly

when their students were to report for duty but the primary schools were very quiet. I know I probably received a newsletter at the end of last year with the starting date, but who can honestly remember where that newsletter is after Christmas and six weeks of school holidays! Perhaps next year they will be more organised and help us poor parents out by advertising the school's startine date.
