PEST CONTROL COSTS TO BE BORNE BY ALL
Wanganui Manawatu region's urban ratepayers will in future contribute directly to pest and noxious plant control. Pest and weed control is now, following the local government reorganisation, looked upon as part of the total resource management role of the new regional council according to the region's general manager Reg Barrett. A flat rating system will be more efficient and cost effective, he says.
