College staff rents down
Ruapehu College staff in school houses will be getting a 40 per cent rebate on their rents. College principal Harry Cast said staff were pleased it has come through at last, but annoyed it has taken almost a year.
Most college house rents will be around $60 now, down from $100-$110. Before the rent reviews tenants were paying $26.30 per week. Mr Cast said the rent rebate is supposed to be back dated but that he hasn't heard when that will happen yet.
