It's Christmas carnival time again

Christmas market days are coming up in Raetihi and Ohakune with lots of new events planned. Raetihi's day is Saturday 16 December and Ohakune's is Saturday 23 December. Raetihi's day starts at 9.30am and there'll be a hangi and barbecue food plus stalls from

various groups. Free movies for the kids start at 11.00am and Father Christmas accompanied by the Cadbury's Cookie Bear will be there. Static displays, Turoa Tumblers displays, Maori cultural displays will be part of the day. Other organisations interested in taking

part can contact Robert Dowman on 54116. Ohakune's carnival market day has the usual "world famous" Turoa lost property auction, Father Christmas in his cave,

stalls, sausage sizzles and free movies. Also this year they're planning a ski boot throwing competition, a piano smashing attempt at the world record and a Golden Oldies can-

can. Bob Norling at Ohakune TV Electrical is the contact for people who want to set up stalls, phone 58700. See next week's Bulletin for more on the market days.
