There's some "Top Servers" out there!

Well there seems to be no shortage of "Top Servers" in Raetihi and Ohakune and they work in a wide range of businesses, though we haven't heard about many in Waiouru.

On 21 November the Bulletin asked for nominations for The Best Person Behind a Counter in Raetihi, Ohakune or Waiouru and we've received 23 replies. Just two of the nominations are from Waiouru, which we feel is too few to reflect the standard of service in the town. If you know of anybody in Waiouru who should be on the list please ring Robert Milne on (0658) 58 532 or drop a line to

him at P.O.Box 122 Ohakune. So far the nominations are: Eunice Tumataroa, Stutz Cafe; Vicky Donghi at Foodmaster Raetihi; Catherine Ellis at Doctor Perera's surgery; Peter Berry at Bcrry's Book Shop; Stephanie Rogers at Foodmaster Raetihi; Robin Scarrow at Robin's Nest and at Stir-fry Takeaways; Heather Albert at Benchmark; Linda Haitana at KC Stores;

Rowena Kui, also at KC Stores; and Keith Kui at KC Stores; Rachel Scarrow at Prices Pharmacy; Kim White at AA Travel; Nancy Parata at the Raetihi video shop; Margaret Dowman at McLean's Book Shop; Ross Gillett at his Raetihi garage; Margaret Cross at Threads; and Mary Newson at Waiouru Pharmacy; Bill Te Karu at Buck's Drapery; Angela Martin at Buck's Drapery; Allen Nation at Skiers' Inn, Audrey Nation at Skiers' Inn; Steve Nation at Skiers' Inn; and "the young girl at Buck's Drapery".
