SIR PAUL TO OPEN BRIDGE

The Governor General Sir Paul Reeves will officially open the only bridge between Wanganui and Te Maire on the Wanganui River, but not until next May. The bridge, north of Jerusalem, is a lightweight suspension bridge built by farmer Tuffy Churton with Army help.
