Twilight bowls for starters

Twilight bowls at the Ohakune Bowling Club was into the second round last night having started last week. Teams are from the Police, Ohakune TV & Electrical, King Country Electric Power Board, Telecom, The Ohakune Karioi Rugby Club, Karioi Netball Club, Schriers, Ohakune Court Motel, Acacia Lodge, Bucks Drapery, Trustbank, New World,

Skiers' Inn, The Ohakune Volunteer Fire Brigade, Ohakune Hotel, and the Maungarongo Marae. One of the organisers, Mrs Kaiwhare, said players thoroughly enjoyed themselves in the first round. She said they were all very keen and all think they are professionals! -The tournament runs for five weeks, finishing on 4 December.
