Amoral stand
I find the "moral stand" described by Berry's Bookshop in the last issue of the Bulletin impossible to accept. How can a business which supports, encourages and provides a gambling service claim to be moral. Instant Kiwi pretends to make gambling not gambling by calling it a family game. This new "get rich quick" method only serves to draw much needed dollars away from businesses which provide real services to the people of our community, in return for real work. Instant Kiwi is especially addictive because it is so accessible through outlets such as Berry's Book-
shop, and because the cost of each ticket is so low. This forrn of gambling is insidious because it is not thought by many people (including perhaps the Bookshop owners) to be gambling. I would be the first to support Berry's Bookshop in a real moral stand when they realise that Instant Kiwi is not providing a service to the community, and withdraw this menace.
