TAUMARUNUI COUNTY CHAIRMAN VIES FOR TOP REGIONAL JOB
Ruapehu District regional councillor Don Middleton is one of two Manawatu -Wanganui Regional Council members in line for the chairmanship. The Taranaki Daily News reports that he appears to be the favourite for the position. Mr Middleton was chairman of the Taumarmui County Council and the Tongariro Unitcd Council and chairs the King Country Regional Development Council. He served on both the regional and district transition committees. He is challenged by Manawatu representative Don Linklater for the iob.
