TOUGHEST RACE IN THE WORLD TO TRAVERSE RUAPEHU AND WANGANUI

Mt Ruapehu and the Wanganui River are to feature in what has been labelled the toughest multi-discipline event in the world. Coast to Coast race organiser Robin Judkins is behind the 22 day event which is seheduled for November 1990. The race starts at Cape Reinga on mountain -bikes and ends at Bluff with a half marathon. Competitors will run up and over Ruapehu and the canoe down the Wanganui River.
