WORKMAN WINS IN SOUTH
More than half of Ruapehu District Mayor Garrick Workman's votes came from the southern Ruapehu area, with 1163 votes from the Waimarino. Mr Workman polled less than half the votes in the Taumarunui ward that candidate Terry Podmore collected. Mr Podmore polled 1703 in Taumarunui compared with Workman's 803. The analysis of mayoral votes per ward is:
