The Ohakune Primary School played host to 30 pupils, teachers and parents from Kaikohe Intermediate recently. The visitors timed it right and took advantage of the school skiing at Turoa that local school children enjoy. The group was given a Maori welcome at the school by elders and family from the Maungarongo Marae at the start of the visit. Other activities for the group were an Army Museum visit, a jet boat ride, a disco and an aeroplane flight. (reporter Ché Wilson, Ruapehu College).
