The Waimarino Spring Show appeared to be blooming as it celebrated its 40th birthday last Thursday. Spring fever bought entries from right around the Waimarino ranging from flowering shrubs, bulbs.vegetable crafts, cut flowers and pot plants. President of the show Locheen Punch was happy with this year's response from both gardeners and the public. She said that the entries were of a very high quality and hopes next year to open the show up to the public during the evening. She stresses that a lot of work and preparation goes into the show and it seems a shame to have to take it away in the few hours made available.
