Saturday and Sunday was a successful Vegymski weekend for the Turoa Tumblers in more ways than one.

The weather was ideal for skiing on the Saturday and Sunday saw the competitors show off their gymnastic skills both in the gymnasium and at the bung.y jumping bridge! The winning team in the National Grades was made up of local gymnasts Warwick Hays and Carys Hubbard with William Cameron from Wellington and Craig Reynolds from Mt Maunganui. Second team comprised of two Mt Maunganui boys Klaas Haagh and John PaUl O'Hara, Ken Frascr (the winncr of the Bungy Jump raffle) from Wellington and Julie Allen from Ncw Plymouth. Third team members wcre -from all over North Island - Melissa Jargenscn from Napier, Kclvin Tane from Palmerston North, Kennelh Bau from Rotorua and Shane Lyons : from North Shore, Auckland.

The Veteran teams were:

lst: Katie Edwards Mt Maunganui; Kim Mathers Auckland; Kjiud Bukhat Wanganui. 2nd: Kathy Fitch Auckland;. Nancy Nadcau

Auckland; Nigel Thomas Wanganui. 3rd: Kathrine Moger New Plymouth; Angeline Wood New Plymouth; Anthony Rush Wellington; Phillip Dunnett Palmertson North.

"It was an enjoyable weekend where the gymnasts were able to enjoy the special things that only Ohakune can offer - and they are looking forward to returning in 1990," said one of the organisers.
