Raetihi's Ritz changes hands next week

The Kitz Tearooms, previously managed by Fiona and Rex Prince, will change hands next week. The business and building has been purchased by Pam and Alan Zohs of Raetihi from previous owners Robin and Bruce McDougal. While Alan remains working for Winstones Pam will be busy in the shop where she hopes to meet people and experience the challenge of a tearooms business and self employment. She believes the venture will make a good family business. Pam and Alan will be opening for longer hours 9.00am till 9.00pm on weekends while weekday hours will be 8.00am till 7pm. The shop offers light meals, sandwiches and cakes, takeaways and a small video selection. Alan's future endeavour is to give the shop a new outside image. Former operator Fiona Prince says she is looking forward to enjoying time to herself.
