BAKED APPLE RECIPE FOR DISASTER
Last week's Bulletin (Ruapehu '89) production struck a hold up late last Thursday when typesetter Jenny Noakes gazed at our Apple Macintosh computer a bit too hard (If looks could kill?) and smoke started billowing out the top. The screen went dark, the air grew chilly but nobody dared to stir poor Macky. Well, actually nobody panicked and called the firebrigade or anything. Talk about cool - they all just started arguing about what the smoke smelled like. Some said burnt almonds, some said no, it was peanuts - others said it was more like the smell you get when you put used Fastpost stickers in a little butter on a low flame with just a hint of garlic (alright - don't get carried away there, typewriter!) Still, whose gonna get upset about a minor problem like a cooked Mac computer when chasing a print deadline in a place like this?
