"SORRY, I DIDN'T RECOGNISE YOU"
Whakapapa Skifields have added 25 per cent more ski area to their field out west, but that doesn't include the slopes way (south) west - at Turoa! New Zealand Skier magazine ran a story on Whakapapa in their. last issue with a photo of the field's "wide open slopes" - sounds just like Turoa? Yep it was Turoa, taken from midfield near the Snowflake Cafe. So it seems ski mag editors like John Woods don't get as much skiing in as everyone thinks?
