Lions on helipad

Ruapehu Lions Jim Reed, lan Stratchan, Greg Ellis and Bob Newton pictured working on the new helipad at Waimarino hospital last week. Ohakune and Raetihi Rotary club is also in on the project, with materiais donated from various sources, including the timber which came from Pinex Mill at Tangiwai. Wanganui Aero Works helicopter pilot and Lion Jim Reed has been advising the group on construction of the pad which he, with the Waimarino Rescue Helicopter Trust, will use for transporting emergency patients to the hospital.
