RANGATAUA SEWERAGE COSTS KNOWN SOON
A meeting is to be held at the Rangataua Hall, 5pm 27 August, with councillors and Rangataua ratepayers to discuss the settlement's sewerage scheme and its costs which should be known by then. Waimarino's consultant engineers were admonished at last week's council meeting for the hold-up in pricing the Rangataua Sewerage Scheme. The council heard that final costings were promised, finally, for Wednesday last week but didn't arrive. Mayor Workman asked if any reason was given by ihe engineers but the district engineer said he had not been told of the reason for the delay. He said he has been asking persistently for the information and had received numerous promises.
