Remarkable Rebels win

Raetihi's "Rebels Hockey Team," pushed off to what was to become a remarkable 8-nil win over Taumarunui on Saturday. Heavy rain from previous days meant conditions were wet and fast. By half time the Rebels were leading 3nil, continuing their attack throughout the second half, goal shooting being controlled and aggressive at times. Scorers were Enid Windle, Charmaene Green, and Rene Boxham, the centre forward line of the team. Goalie Vicky King, supported by her backs, displayed both confidence and commitment within her goal area.
