Waimarino golf
Sunday 23rd July saw the 3rd Qualifying round played under fine winter conditions. In the Seniors J Ennis and T Donghi tumed in good rounds of 69 nett. J Ennis won on the toss. Following on 70 was R Starke with T Fredricksen Jnr, K Summerhays and P Goldfinch on 73. In the Juniors P Evans came home with a nett 64 to take the Junior prize plus the Roarers Mug as well as the Alpe Cup for the two best nett
qualifying rounds. Right behind were P Craig, A Donald and N Clarke on nett 70's, D Herewini 7 1 , C Pepene and W Marsh on 72. Two's were scored by P Evans, W Marsh, D Windle, T Donghi and J Ennis. The Senior Birds Nest was shared by J Ennis and T Donghi while the Junior Birds Nest went to P Evans. The days golf was sponsored by Ohakune Pharmacy and Harris, Tansey and Harvey.
