RSA has women's section

By

Pheippa

French

"I feel that there are a lot of women in Waiouru who would enjoy the companionship the women's section of the RSA has to offer," says ex-servicewomen Rosalie Cunningham. Rosalie feels the weekly meetings at the

RSA, with saies tables, competitions in baking and possibly the idea of guest speakers would be of interest to many Waiouru Ladies. She is also quick to add children are welcome at the RSA with their mothers during the day at these meetings.

Fundraising for the RSA and visiting sick ex-service persons at home or in hospital and helping families of deceased ex-service persons are also what the women section get involved in. They have provided the Waiouru RSA with their curtains,

television and carpet through their fundraising efforts. Rosalie intends to hold a meeting at the RSA in August for any person interested in the women's section. Supper will be provided and everyone is welcome.
