CHANGEOVER IN PHONE CONCESSIONS
Social Welfare beneficiaries entitled to telephone rental concessions are to be billed for the whole of their telephone rental from July 1, with the Social Welfare department reimbursing them $3.52 per week. Previously Telecom billed beneficiaries for half the rental and the DSW for half. Beneficiaries who are renting more expensive equipment may be able to get help with their extra costs from Social Welfare.
