Irirangi are the winners of the first round of the Senior Reserve Rugby Competition. The eight teams played seven games each gaining four points for a win, two points for a draw and one point for staying within six points of the winning team. Maximum points available were 28, and Irirangi had 25 after los-
ing only one game against the Panthers. Last year Huia won the first round and went on to win the final. With the winner of the first round decided all teams go into the second round with equal chance as the points table is back to zero. Points from first round senior reserve: Irirangi 25; Panthers 23; Armoured 21; Dirty 30's 21; Utiku 12; Ohakune 11; Raetihi 6; Huia 1.
