Library for service and leisure

by

philippa

French

"So yourTe going to be a father" by Prudence King or "Working Mother" by Sarah Litvinoff are just two of the new titles to be found at the Waiouru library.

Cathy Pantlina is Waiouru's librarian and has had ten years experience working in libraries in Trentham, Burnham and Singapore. Cathy's career started as a librarian in the army but she has since left the army, but is now married to a soldier. Any person in the

Waiouru area is able to join the library, both Military and Civilian, and as well as an excellent variety of books the library offers photocopying services, newspapers from most parts of New Zealand, a children's section and a computer available for use by people who have the necessary experi-

ence. Half of the library is for general use and the other half is designed

to assist soldiers with their work, for example, writing of a service paper. The library is

open five days a week with late night from 6.00pm until 8.30pm Turnpage 5
