OPOSSUM POISON DROPS HELP KOKAKO

Aerial opossum poisoning drops of 1080 does good for the kokako, rather than harming the endangered bird, the Forest Research Group has found. A recent study indicates that the kokako and the opossum compete for food and that lower opossum numbers means the bird, which seems to be the weaker competitor, enjoys a better food supply.
