RUAPEHU ALPINE LIFTS TAKES ON SKI PATROL

Whakapapa ski patrol, car parking and snow cleiring are no longer the responsibility of the Department of Conservation. Ruapehu Alpine Lifts are providing a professional service of 10 to 12 ski patrollers for the ski field, who will work in conjunction with the volunteer patrollers, as in the past with the DoC patrol. RAL have also taken over parking control and snow clearing on the Bruce Road, though park staff will retain control of the road.
