BRASS MONKEY BIKE RACE ON FOR WAIOURU
Waiouru's Brass Monkey Mountain Bike Race is on again this winter and is to be included in the North Island Winter Mountain Bike Series. The race is scheduled for July 29 -30, to be organised by the Manawatu Mountain Bike Club. Organisers of the series say the series has been planned with shorter courses, close to public viewing points with varied terrain to try to make the sport more appealing and entertaining. The cold and wet, with snow possible, will add to the challenge, say the organisers. Sponsors for the series are Challenger Sports of Taupo.
