Plunket
1989 is looking rosy for the Raetihi Plunket, who started off the year with a healthy financial balance. Major money spinners were the annual cattle drive and sale, catering and the hire of Plunket's candy-floss machine. The committee has a waiting list of parents wishing to hire car seats from Plunket. Three parent support groups were established and the commmittee reported good liaison with health officers. Dr Barbara had visited the area on a number of occasions and held clinics. Election of Officers: president, Mary Cranston; secretary, Brenda Webb; treasurer, Claire Price; vicepresident, Megan Ionnaidis; car seat scheme, Petra Corbett; committee, Vi Marumaru, Jo Haitana, Jenny Dekker, Leigh Berry, Natalie McDougall, Joanne Knapp, Debbie Alabaster, Di McCarthy and Arm Harvey.
