Two $1000 Grasslands Trust awards for farmers is likely to attract large numbers of applicants, with the closing date for applications next Tuesday, May 30. The prizes are awarded to one hill country and one rolling hill farmer in the Wanganui region. Farmers are judged on innovative farming processes they may have developed and incorporated into their farms, which are inspected by judges during July. The awards will be presented at a Grasslands conference to be held in Wanganui in November. Application forms may be obtained from any agricultural advisor in the region.
