Riders' AGM

The Waimarino Riding Club AGM was held on May 1 with a good attendance of old and new members. Officials for the year remain the same, ie president, Mrs E Cooper; vice president, Mr J Frost and secretary/trcasurer Mrs H Godfrey. The presidents report and financial reports were received, the latter showing that the accounts were in good heart.

Arrangements were made concerning the forthcoming riding and grooms' exams with working bees to be held closer to the time. The next meeting is to be on July 3 in Waiouru when a video on show jumping will be shown. After an early supper mini workshops were conducted on knot tieing, bandaging, feeding and showing. Emphasis was placed on

the practical aspects and all promoted with lively discussion, being just another stcp in preparation for the forthcoming exams.
