Raetihi Rebels beat College A
Local hockey teams enjoyed success on fields around the region on Saturday. Raetihi Rebels v College A A high-scoring Rebels team won their match against Ruapehu College 'A', 9-0, with College never giving up the fight. Raetihi forwards combined well, with new player Maria Wilcox showing promise. Player of the day was Charmaine Green. College centre half Sarah Clelland and right inner Judith Berry were strong players in the team's defence. Raetihi meets Utiku Old Girls at Raetihi this Saturday. Ohakune Rangers v Taihape College Rangers and Taihape were evenly matched in their game at Ohakune, with the final score 10. Rangers play Ruapehu College at Raetihi next week, while Taihape College goes up against Waiouru, at Taihape. Waiouru won their match against Utiku Old Girls 8-0 at Waiouru.
